About

Commercial Pilot License (CPL)

Our CPL programme takes a cadet with no flying experience to a licence-ready commercial pilot. It covers the DGCA theory subjects, the full 200-hour flying syllabus, instrument and night flying, multi-engine training, and a closing module built around airline selection. We complete the flying in seven to eight months, subject to weather. That is not a shortened syllabus. It is the same 200 hours everyone else flies, with most of the waiting removed: uncongested airspace at Kurnool, a fleet chosen for high utilisation, and everything on one site. Throughout, you are assessed on competency rather than on hours alone. Every sortie is debriefed against defined competencies and every phase closes with a competency check, which is the same language airline selection uses when you get there.

Age

You must be at least 17 years old at the time of joining. A Student Pilot Licence can be obtained from 16, and a Commercial Pilot Licence is issued from 18.

Education Level

You need 10+2 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics from a recognised board. If you studied Arts or Commerce, you can complete both subjects through the National Institute of Open Schooling. A great many working Indian pilots took exactly that route and it is not a disadvantage. Talk to us and we will map out the timelines with you.

Medical Fitness

A valid DGCA Class 2 medical certificate is required to begin training, and a Class 1 before your licence is issued. Our advice is to obtain the Class 2 before you pay any academy a substantial amount, including us. It settles the one question that enthusiasm cannot answer.

English Proficiency

ICAO Level 4 English or above, so that you can understand and be understood on the radio in every phase of flight.

Commercial Pilot License (CPL)

Overview

  • Ground School: 500 hours of classroom instruction across the DGCA theory subjects, with progress testing throughout.
  • Flight Training: 200 hours, meeting or exceeding every DGCA minimum. Full breakdown below.
  • Instrument Flying: Instrument work in the aircraft supported by simulator sessions. Note that DGCA credits no more than five simulator hours toward the statutory ten-hour instrument requirement, so simulator time supports your training rather than substituting for it.
  • Cross-Country Navigation: Route planning, navigation technique, diversions and flight plan filing, including the 300 nautical mile qualifying flight with full-stop landings at two different aerodromes. Landing charges at other bases are covered in your fee.
  • Night Flying: Night circuits and navigation, including take-offs and landings as pilot in command. Included in the fee.
  • Multi-Engine Training: 15 hours on multi-engine systems, operations and asymmetric handling. Included in the fee.
  • Flight Operations and CRM: Flight management and crew resource management fundamentals.
  • Regulations and Safety: Aviation regulations, procedures and safety protocols in depth.

Selection Process

How to apply

  1. Enquire. Send us the form or call. We will send the full programme document and the fee structure. No pressure, and no campaign of messages you did not ask for.
  2. Counselling. A conversation with our team, in person at Kurnool or online. Bring your parents and bring the difficult questions. This is the point at which to be sceptical, not after you have paid.
  3. Medical. Obtain your DGCA Class 2 medical. Do this before committing substantial money to anyone.
  4. Assessment. We look for aptitude, English proficiency and a realistic understanding of the career.
  5. Registration. Confirm your seat. Seats are limited by fleet and instructor capacity.
  6. Documentation. Computer number application, verification and DGCA formalities, which we work through with you rather than handing you a checklist.
  7. Induction. Ground school begins.
