Age

Applicants must be at least 16 years old at the time of joining. This is the minimum age required to begin Private Pilot License (PPL) training.

Education Level

Completion of 10th grade or equivalent from a recognized board and proficiency in English as per ICAO standards.

Medical Fitness

A valid Class II Medical Certificate issued by a DGCA-approved doctor is mandatory. This ensures you are medically fit to undergo pilot training.

Private Pilot License (PPL)

Overview

  • Flight Training : You must complete a minimum of 40 hours of flight training, including a specified number of hours in different categories, such as dual instruction (instruction received from a flight instructor) and solo flight (flying alone).
  • Theory Examinations : You are required to pass theoretical examinations that cover subjects such as air regulations, aviation meteorology, navigation, aircraft systems, and flight planning.
  • Cross-Country Flying : You must complete a specified number of cross-country flight hours. This involves planning and executing flights to destinations beyond a certain distance.
  • Radio Telephony Communication : You need to complete training in radio telephony communication and obtain a Restricted Radiotelephony Operator’s License (RTR).
  • ICAO Language Proficiency : You must demonstrate ICAO language proficiency at a minimum operational level.
Once you obtain a Private Pilot training, you can fly single-engine aircraft as the pilot-in-command (PIC) and carry passengers. However, it is important to note that PPL certification holders are not permitted to fly for compensation or hire.

Selection Process

Selection Process

We review all online applications and subject to you meeting our entry criteria, you will be invited to complete our initial web-based selection process. This is a series of online psychometric, numeracy and aptitude assessments.

We use the AON assessment tool to help determine whether or not you have the core competencies needed to successfully commence the course.

The next stage of the selection process will be to attend an interview with Skyborne.

SPECIAL OFFER: The first 50 applicants will receive a FREE assessment worth $150 USD.

Following the first 50 applications, there will be a non-refundable one-time assessment fee of USD $150. The selection process will start as soon as the assessment fee has been paid.
